CONSIDER AND HEAR ME,
David is saying God consider what I’m going through. Consider the help that I need. Consider the petition that I have before you don’t forget about me; hear me.
With everything that we have going on with us right now we need to recall ourselves to God’s remembrance. Hey God its Alicia don’t forget about me. I need you right now. I can’t go any further until you help me with this. My back is jammed up against a wall and I can’t move. I’m begging and pleading with you can’t you hear me crying out from the depths of my soul; can’t you hear me crying out in a loud voice.

OH LORD MY GOD:
David is saying you’re still my God. Even though I’m going through this and I feel like you’ve forgotten me.
We feel the same way sometimes. Even though we haven’t received an answer; even though we don’t have a way out; even with everything crumbling around us God is still our God.

LIGHTEN MINE EYES,
David is saying is saying strengthen my faith. Bring some light to my soul.
Do you feel like you need God to bring some light into the eyes of your soul, your spirit, your mind? You may even feel like you need him to brighten your eyesight so you can see things clearer and watch out for the snares and traps ahead. You may also need him to open your eyes so you can see the good all around you; it’s hard to see the good / the positive when we’re going through things.

LEST I SLEEP THE SLEEP OF DEATH
David is saying God I can’t live with the weight of everything that I’m going through.
Yes Yes Yes we have all been there and may be in that position right now of feeling like I can’t make it; I can’t breathe, I’m overwhelmed with everything that’s going on with me. God I feel like I’m on my way out physically, spiritually, and mentally if one more thing happens in my life or If I get one more call about bad news of any kind.

Psalm 13:3 speaks to the uncertain times that we’re in and to the way that we are feeling. Some of us have lost family, friends, or associates. Some of us literally don’t know how we’re going to make it financially, some us feel weary and depressed, snappy and have no patience. We’re fed up with all of it.

I was at the beach last Saturday looking at the ocean and how far it goes and how big it is when this came to me; our problems are like the ocean. We have so many, they are so big, and sometimes we feel like the waves are going to overtake us.
But if would just listen to the voice that says stand up. You’re not drowning. You’re only waist deep I’ve got you.
P. S. Sometimes we’ve got to cut some things loose so we can stand up and receive the help that God has for us.
