SCRIPTURE: Daniel 3:19-23 ~ New International Version
19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual 20 and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. 22 The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, 23 and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.
Verse 19: When you take a stand, stop doing what people want you to do and no longer agree with them people’s attitude towards you change. Then they decide to turn up the heat on you. They assassinate your character, stab you in the back, and forget about the relationship that you once shared with them all because you decide to do what’s right.
NO MATTER HOW HOT IT GETS CONTINUE TO ABIDE IN CHRIST
Verse 20: Everyone has followers or supporters or an amen corner. It’s not enough that their attitude towards you has changed they bring others into the situation. When people are coming at you from every direction you feel tied up. It catches you off guard especially when it’s people that you thought you were close to.
NO MATTER HOW HOT IT GETS CONTINUE TO ABIDE IN CHRIST
Verse 21: Then you’re bound and thrown into the furnace with everything that you have on. The good news is you’re not in the fire looking raggedy. You’ve got your best on. That’s what throws the enemy off. They don’t understand NO MATTER HOW HOT IT GETS YOU’LL CONTINUE TO ABIDE IN CHRIST.
Verse 22: Let God handle the people; NO MATTER HOW HOT IT GETS CONTINUE TO ABIDE IN CHRIST. You do what HE instructs you to do and walk in freedom while you’re in the furnace.
Verse 23: You will be thrown in the blazing furnace firmly tied up and it will be by people that you’ve known, are close to and have helped over and over and over again; NO MATTER HOW HOT IT GETS CONTINUE TO ABIDE IN CHRIST.
