SCRIPTURE: Exodus 17:10-13 ~ The Voice
10 Joshua did exactly as Moses had instructed him to do. He gathered the strongest men he could find and fought against the soldiers of Amalek. Meanwhile, Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed to the top of the hill.
11 It happened that whenever Moses raised his hand, the battle went well for Israel; but whenever he lowered his hand to rest, Amalek began to win.
12 When Moses became too tired to hold his hands up any longer, Aaron and Hur took a stone and sat him down on it. Then both men stood beside Moses, one on each side, holding his hands up and keeping them steady until sunset.
13 In the end, Joshua and the men of Israel defeated Amalek and his soldiers with the sword.
- Do exactly what you’re instructed to do. (Joshua gathered the strongest men) and (Moses, Aaron, & Hur climbed to the top of the hill)
- Raise Your Hands to win. Moses Raised His Hands (when his hands were up they won; when he put them down to rest they lost)
- Keep Your Hands Up. Do What You’ve Got To Do To Keep Your Hands up. Fatigue will set in but your hands have to stay up. Aaron & Hur held Moses hands up; who will hold your hands up? How will you position yourself to be able to hold your hands up? How will you position yourself to keep your hands up when you get tired? When you’re in a battle it’s good to have people around you that will do what it takes to help you fight!
- Victory Is Yours because you followed the process.
When you’re in a battle you need every advantage you can get to secure a win and to do this you must start out right.
Sit still and ask God for forgiveness for not following His instructions; then move forward with what He tells you to do!
