19 Just thinking of my troubles and my lonely wandering makes me miserable.
When we think on our troubles and loneliness it makes us unhappy and it weighs us down. It can cause us to isolate ourselves from everyone.
20 That’s all I ever think about, and I am depressed.
As we continually think on our troubles and our feelings of loneliness it causes us to be depressed.
Depression creeps up on us slowly. We stop doing things that we normally do, we start being ok sitting in dark places day after day, we may eat less and less or eat more and more.
Depression is real and there’s NO shame in it. Please get the help that you need for it. Call your Employee Assistance Program or visit a local provider.
Having depression doesn’t make you any less saved. Things in our mind filter to our heart and spirit. God wants us WHOLE; HE doesn’t want us broken. Address your depression, take the medication, follow the care plan that’s given to you, and you will be victorious!
21 Then I remember something that fills me with hope.
Even though we have troubles and we feel lonely and depressed we REMEMBER something specific that fills us with expectation. We remember when we were down and out before and God delivered us and this fills us with hope. We remember when we were on our sick bed and healing permeated our body and this fills us with hope. WHY? Because if HE did it then HE’S going to do I now.
22 The Lord’s kindness never fails! lIf he had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed.[b]
You can count on the Lord every time! Hallelujah!! Because if HE had not been compassionate towards you; you would have been destroyed.
No matter what we’re going through HIS kindness never fails you; and thank you God for your mercy because we all have been in some situations that you had no business in; and it may happen again.
Thank you God for your compassion and for your mercy. Thank you for not letting me be destroyed.
Don’t be afraid to call on the Lord whenever you need Him; HE never gets tired of us calling on HIM. HE’s waiting for us to reach out to HIM.
23 The Lord can always be trusted to show mercy each morning.
We can always trust the Lord; HE will never let us down and HIS mercies can’t be used up. They begin again each and every morning.
24 Deep in my heart I say, “The Lord is all I need; I can depend on him!”
Deep in your heart you know that everything that you need is found in the Lord and you know that you can depend on HIM.
Deep in your heart you know that everyone else has failed you but the Lord has always been there.
These are some difficult times that we are living in and our lives change from day to day.
It can be changes with our health, jobs, loved ones, finances and much more.
No matter what comes our way we’ve got to stand firm on the fact that THE LORD IS ALL I NEED; I CAN DEPEND ON HIM.
Say it to yourself over and over until it settles in your spirit THE LORD IS ALL I NEED; I CAN DEPEND ON HIM.
